New Years.

I didn’t manage to snap a very good picture of my nails on new years as I literally painted them as I was getting ready to go out! The one photo I have I took the day after so there are a few minor chips and tip wear from the party I went to at my friends house :)

This is one coat of an old dark grey polish I found in my room that had no name on it with one coat of Max Factors max effect polish in ‘Silver’ which is a really lovely, burnished silver glitter in a tinted base. I think there might even be a bit of blue and gold micro glitter in there as well as silver!
I then stuck two silver and one black star-shaped rhinestones on my accent nail for a little bit of bling and finally added one coat of seche vite to all nails.
Next up is a burnt orange polish by OPI called Chop-sticking to my story from the Hong Kong collection in 2010. It reminds me of pumpkins and gingerbread men!
Two coats of chop-sticking to my story and one coat seche top coat.
Please excuse the mess that is my cuticles here, they are so dry and horrible from all this wintery weather and neglect over the christmas holidays :(
Got some nail mail on its way at the moment including my first Zoya’s! Definitely something to look forward to :)

Festive Nails

This is again an old post from my previous blog from around christmas time - hence the festively themed nails!
I love all of the illamasqua nail polishes and makeup. I only have a few polishes at the moment as they are £13.50 a bottle but so far, the ones i’ve tried appear only need one coat to be completely opaque and are really nice to use :)
This is illamasqua - throb from the valentines collection last year. It's a true blood red and is perfect in one coat. Definitely a winner in my book then!
Indoors, no flash.

Natural light
Base coat,
Illamasqua - Throb (One coat!),
Milani - Gold on accent nail,
Seche vite top coat.

Hopefully in the new year there will be plenty more posts like this and until then, here is a picture of me in my brand new christmas jumper courtesy of the boyfriend!

Looove vintage - I feel like an old man but it makes me happy :)

‘Till next time!

Worth The Risque?

This is what I was wearing on my nails the other day.
It’s called Worth The Risque by Color Club and it’s an absolutely stunning holographic silver!
In indoor light it looks more plain silvery but as soon as you hit a patch of sunlight - RAINBOWS. So many shiny colours in there! It makes me incredibly happy to look at :)
This is three coats of Worth The Risque and one coat of Seche Vite top coat.
I have some DIYs coming up that I want to post soon so hopefully there should be more to read soon. I am currently very ill at the moment so it's hard to want to bother to paint my nails or do anything haha! Hopefully I'll be better soon though and can get back on top of posting again.

Beginnings

Hi there!
Well this is the first time I have ever done something of this sort. I’m not usually the type to write about myself and the things I do in such a format or even in great detail so this should be rather interesting...
As a bit of backstory my name is Rebecca, I’m studying Biological Sciences at the University of Birmingham. I love shopping, particularly vintage; watching films and generally chillin’ with ma mates.
I think a little idea of what will be occurring and coming up in this blog would be helpful.  Recently I’ve gotten very into nail polish and the like which is rather fun! I suppose there will probably be a few posts about the beautiful things I come across during my rummaging.  I also have a few projects that I wish to start diy wise which will be very exciting also! Aaaaand this will be a handy place for me to post all of the interesting inspiration I come across during my days and nights wandering around and touring the internets. What a glorious plan!
Anyway I promise to try and keep up to date with all this! Hopefully it’ll all keep to plan :)
I do prefer Blogger over Tumblr and so the first few posts will just be me reposting what I posted on my Tumblr, 'cause I'm lazy like that!
Over and out!
